Essentials of Track and Field
Returning Track and Field to Global Prominence
Track & field shouldn’t disappear between Olympics. ETF rejects outdated formats in favor of bold storytelling, technical clarity, and year-round engagement.
What’s Broken—and Why
Too many failed strategies:
• Olympic nostalgia over product clarity
• Events without stories
• Governing bodies with no audience-first vision
The result? The world’s best athletes, invisible to the world.
We aim to standardize foundational biomechanics — the core movements and mechanics that define technical execution. By doing so, athletes and coaches can build lasting proficiency, grounded in proven principles they can return to season after season.
From elite coaches and athletes to emerging talent and supportive fans, Essentials of Track & Field exists to provide reliable education, content, and collaboration for anyone invested in the future of our sport.
Track & Field remains siloed—sprinters, throwers, distance, coaches all in separate lanes. This weakens the product and the community. ETF is working to unify our sport under one banner!
We’re not patching the old system. We’re building a new one based on a single premise: Track and Field athletes are the best athletes in the world! Everything grows from that.
Track & field lacks a unified model. Other sports have pipelines. We have gaps. Athletes drop off. Execution plateaus. The system needs retooling.
We’re creating a system rooted in biomechanics and applied physics—the true foundation of all movement.
• Biomechanical progression systems
• Coach education clinics & symposiums
• Event-specific invitational field labs
• Streaming access to elite instruction
In a world of overwhelming information and data, it is easy to get lost and stray from core mechanics.
Essentials of Track & Field’s coaches hail from the highest levels of competition as athletes and coaches. We are all committed to building skill and physical development from the foundation of primary biomechanics. Our objective is to simplify biomechanics to core standards.
In doing so we seek to align with the best coaches in Track & Field, constructing a network to pass on these key building blocks, producing more consistent and sustainable performances. Such a goal requires looking for like-minded coaches dedicated to these methods of skill development.
